Peru 2014

g3003The new expedition is in the air! This time it will be crazier, further, longer and with very solid team! On the first stage of the expedition I will be accompanied by the journalist Krzysztof Petek and by the psychologist Agnieszka Skorupa. Yes, psychologist! You never know when you will need one…

Whole expedition will take place in the Virgin Peruvian selva on the area of Bajo Urubamba located on the east of giant Cordillera de Vilcabamba. This mountain area is cut through by thousands of rapid rivers and streams each full of waterfalls. Most of this waters flowing out of the Cordilllera is heading to Urubamba river which after hundreds of kilometers join Rio Tombo River. Together they create famous Ucajali River. Thick and full of dangers selva thanks to its roughness and inaccessibility of mountain terrain helped to preserve Machiguengas culture, as well as, their kinsmen Caquinte.

g3038.pngmapaLiving away from the civilization, counting only on Mother Nature Machiguengas and Caquinte are following rules passing orally in their cultural circle. That is why one of my main goals is immortalizing them on camera records. Second task is the exploration of the part of mountain areas in which one can find new species of amphibians or discovered ancient places shrouded in mystery by legends… It means over three months of extreme effort being in the one of the lest human-friendly environments. But I never discuss with this force summoning me in the places where nobody being in good sense will ever go. Viva la aventura!!!

The polish expedition „Spirit of the selva” is starting on 12th of August but as soon SA 16th September will come you can read first reports! Just freshly scratched dirty with mud writer and journalist Krzysztof and lady professor Agnes will go back to Poland to share with you their stories, no matter whether full of successes of failures. Meanwhile I will be steel exploring untouched parts of selva and investigating Indian spirituality. All till the end of December. On the Christmas Eve I’m planning to join my polish family… Yes, I’m planning. But if I hadn’t been killed in Brazil, nothing can stop me now!

I invite you to cooperation and contact! Take your chance as long as it is possible;-) Nothing last forever;-)

I would like to introduce you the crazy explorers team which mean core is psychological support of Agnieszka. Only she can save us from dying from bravado (that’s me!) and loosing head during collecting materials to reportage (that’s Krzysztof!).
